My mom and stepdad sent us this amazing anniversary card in the mail!
Even Wesley was excited when he saw it, exclaiming, "It's the Beatles!! Awesome!!"
I was going to post it yesterday, but ran out of time. We went out to eat and took Wesley to the drive in, where they were playing Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Land of the Lost. The movies weren't so great (I actually liked Ice Age more than Land of the Lost and I did not think that would happen!) but it was still lots of fun! A drive in is more of an experience than just the movies themselves.
Then we had a crazy storm this morning.
It was a complete downpour and crazy lightning and thunder right on top of us.
At one point, I was standing right next to a window when I heard this
strange cracking noise and looked out the window just in time to see a huge
branch fall from a tree and onto the roof of the house next door!
(If you look you can see where the branch broke.) It startled me and then
immediately the door right next to me slammed shut and I screamed! Ha!
Brock and Wesley went for a walk afterward and discovered that only a few
small branches actually landed on the roof and the huge parts just
missed it and landed in between the two houses. Whew!
And now, of course, it's a beautiful, bright, blue sky out there! |

10th Anniversary!
Here's the drawing I made for Brock for our anniversary!
Here it is framed! This isn't really the kind of frame I wanted, I was kind of thinking a square
matting would be cool, but I had limited choices and was short on time, so this had to do!
For me, Brock had our wedding tape put onto a dvd! Also, I have this pearl necklace he bought me for Christmas way back in 2000. I wore it like once and it broke! We've always meant to get it fixed, but it just kept getting put off. Well he finally got it fixed! Or is getting it fixed. He thought he could take it to a repair place to have done right away, but they said they couldn't do it, so he took it back to the jewelry store where he bought it and they sent it away to be fixed. It should be done on the 15th. Then I can wear my necklace again! Yay! |

Tomorrow is mine and Brock's 10th anniversary! I can't believe it's been ten years already. Crazy!! I just finished wrapping his present and am ready to pass out. I've been so tired lately! Tomorrow should be a nice, fun, and relaxing day. I think we might go out to dinner, but I'm not sure where. Maybe we'll let Wes decide! He's very excited about celebrating with us, haha. :) |

I am exhausted. The MRI didn't kill me! It still sucked though. Man, I hate those things. I didn't sleep very well last night and had to leave really early this morning. My sister and mom were with me so we spent the rest of the day out and about and I didn't get home until about 4:30pm and then I had work to do here. So tired and my head is pounding!
I came across this amazing bracelet earlier and thought this would be a proper post to show it!
I love it and want one. |

I never did a 4th of July post! We've just been busy! On the 4th we went to my aunt's house for a family picnic/my nephew Riley's birthday. Then Brock, Wes, and I drove down to the lake to hang out until the fireworks show. Brock had a really bad headache, so he napped while Wes and I played cards. When he woke up he felt much better, so we went for a walk before the show. Then my sister, her husband, two boys, and my brother Shane showed up to watch with us!
They were pretty good, but we were sort of far away. Next year we are
going to try and get a lot closer. I like my fireworks up close and loud!
Then we were stuck on the peninsula for about two hours in traffic, but
we were stuck behind this happy guy the whole time, so it wasn't so bad!
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Right now I am off to get a stupid blood test done. Boo! Tomorrow I have a stupid MRI. I hate both those things! Wish me luck that I don't die! |

I am going to make terrariums with these glass jars! I found them at a garage sale for only $1.50 total and was really excited because they were on my list for things to look for at garage sales. This is just the look I wanted! I want to try and get/make some little mushrooms, animals, and/or houses to put in them too. My own little worlds. :) I've always had a fascination with miniature worlds. That reminds me of this project I did in art class once. We had to come up with a product and design an ad for it. Mine was Storm in a Jar! Inside a jar was a field, some trees, a small house, and a little storm. Dark clouds, lightening, rain, wind. I would LOVE to have a Storm in a Jar!
And speaking of storms, it has been raining here FOREVER now. I think it started last Sunday and hasn't stopped once. Don't get me wrong, I love rain, but it's been making taking pictures for eBay really difficult AND it's been cold! I HATE cold. It's summer!! I want to be warm! Too warm, if possible. Also, I have a terrible headache. I've actually been doing really well with NOT having headaches lately. In fact, Brock just commented on it the other day. But then I woke up with this one and didn't even want to open my eyes. I tried taking some things for it, but it's not working. I might go lay down with my eyes closed for a bit. I have laundry to fold and put away and dishes to do today! Go away headache! |

My beautiful birthday flowers, about five days ago!
My beautiful birthday flowers today. They are starting to droop a little. :(
I love these colors, by the way. And I love having fresh flowers around! I wish I could buy a new bouquet
every time the one before it died and always have fresh flowers. They do wonders for my mood. |

We just happened upon this amazing cemetery, all overgrown and partially in the woods.
We had to stop to explore and take pictures! It was so quiet and beautiful.

My mom bought me this awesome glass jar at a flea market.
You can't really tell in this photo, but it has this beautiful purple hue to it.
It's perfect for the many mini bouquets of wildflowers that Wesley brings me. :)
Right now I am sitting here enjoying a strawberry daiquiri that Brock made me and trying to entertain myself with magazines and the internet. Brock is downstairs playing Castlevania on the Turbo Duo. What are YOU up to tonight? |

My friend Leslie made some Incredible Jam and was super sweet as pie to send me some! Yay!
It's so delicious and made with simple and fresh ingredients! Freshly picked strawberries, organic lemon, and just a bit of sugar.
The strawberries are so sweet themselves, so it doesn't need that much sugar at all. It's the perfect taste! I love it!

This is how I've been wearing my hair most of this summer, and hey! It's officially summer now! Like a couple days ago,
I know, but I just realized! Yay! Anyway, I got this style from Sara. So simple, yet it looks like something a little more than simple. :)
I realize my skin looks a bit chalky in this picture compared to the following two, which are pretty colorful. :/
Today I am wearing my hair in two french braids!

We went for a walk the other day. The weather was so perfect. It was only 61, but some reason not that cold.

So I'm in love with this locket. I've been trying to find the perfect locket since I was pregnant with Wes (to put his picture in, of course!) but I am very picky, lol. I love this one! I'd prefer something made out of something a little nicer, such as white gold, but we are also a little broke, lol. It doesn't matter anyway since I told Brock I wanted it and he told me, "No"! I thought I'd show it off anyway though! And this is fun. I think I might make a fun post of things I want sometime. I always like seeing posts like that. Window shopping online is fun! |

He ran out of room on the card for the "W" so he extended it. :)
I had the white balance set totally wrong for these and didn't notice until afterward. Oops.
